I have the 5551-A is there a difference between the two models?

Also i have 3 gigs of memory can it really take 8 gigs that would be great.

This is a great big waste of money you need to call it crash and burn why you would take a lap top that might run vista 32 bit and put windows 7 64 bit on it is way beyond me.

Anonymous - get a life, this is an awesum machine, seeing as you can pick one up for next to nothing. Yes, the memory can be upgraded to 8gb ddr3, I took out the 1gb module need swapped it for a 2gb, boosting my total ram to 4gb.
Provided you can afford 2 x 4gb ddr3 models, and find it, this laptop performs good with 4gb already. The only advantage 8gb will give you, is the added ram that will be allocated to the graphics chip.
